Land Rover Defender 11028th August 2018
This British beast is a welcome addition to ‘Spotted’
The mighty Land Rover Defender.
I spotted this in a supermarket car park. As ever, my mobile flew out of my back pocket and began snapping photos. Almost by itself.
The very first Land Rover appeared in 1948 and the last one made was in January 2016. They were produced in Solihull, England.
As we know, Land Rovers were unique (in bad as well as good ways!) but immensely popular, as we also now know!
I personally never got bitten by the rugged motoring or off-roading bug. Yes, I drive a Yeti, but it is comfortable to drive. The doors do not let in drafts. The floor is never a pond. The engine does not leak liquids.
And my Yeti doesn’t guzzle fuel like there’s no tomorrow
But, enough. The Land Rover is cool. And I like ’em. Just not to own.
This one is especially nice I think.
See the Union Jack on the wing? This is the Czech Republic and that’s a LHD Land Rover with a Czech plate!
I have no further information on this Land Rover because so many variations were produced, including engine variants, that I cannot pinpoint this exact model. Maybe you can?
So let’s just admire this beautiful beast and say no more…
psst… photo below, on the left, my Yeti doesn’t look impressed with me taking pictures of this Land Rover. ????
Whenever I spot an interesting machine I get out my mobile and take some photos of it (if possible).
Then I feature it here in ‘Spotted’
And I am always keen to hear about your interesting vehicle.
