Classic Car BeautiesAugust 22, 2018
The main shopping centre where I live has all sorts of displays throughout the year, as yours probably does:
- Jobs week
- Drugs awareness week
- Road safety week
- etc etc week
I never expected this when I went in there to buy something though
I’m a classic car fan, so this was a great surprise.
Just look at this Velorex. Made in the former Czechoslovakia between 1950 and 1971. I’ve never even seen one before.
What about this Lada VAZ-2101. Produced in the former Soviet Union between 1970 and 1988.
Here’s a Trabant P601 Kombi. Produced in East Germany from 1957 to 1990.
Then there was this little darling: the iconic and much loved Fiat 500. Produced in Italy from 1957 to 1975.
And last, but definitely not least…
The Triumph Spitfire 1500
British Racing Green and right-hand drive (I almost felt at home!).
Produced at the Canley plant, Coventry, England from 1974 to 1980.
Would you be able to use one of these as your main car?
I know that I couldn’t. Not a single airbag between them. No air conditioning. Not even power steering.
I look at these cars and I think of Katie Price… nice to ogle sometimes but a nightmare to live with!
What say you?
If I spot an interesting machine somewhere I get out my mobile phone and take a few photos.
Then I feature it here in ‘Spotted’
And I am always keen to hear about your interesting car, motorbike or scooter.
Would you care to share and help me grow my site?
