Decorative Sill CoversJanuary 26, 2019
These sill covers are not to everyone’s taste and that’s okay.
For me though, they’re essential in finishing the rugged off-road look of my Yeti.
Skoda already fitted silver off-road trim to the front and to the rear
The lower front…
The lower rear…
But on the sills, nothing.
To my mind this pair of sill covers will finish off the design perfectly
Of course, I could be wrong because I haven’t fitted them yet.
Let’s do that now.
I ordered them online and they arrived fast.
I’m also going to need cleaning spirit, double-sided foam tape and my trusty Torx screwdriver set.
It is here on Amazon if you want it too.
The Torx screwdriver set that I keep in my Yeti…
I use the cleaning spirit to lightly wipe over the sills.
There are seven Torx screws to undo
Okay! So good thing I keep a can of it in the boot then.
All seven Torx screws are out and without a fight.
Okay! Good idea. Thanks!
Looks like good times.
So let’s put a strip of double-sided foam tape on the outer edge of the sill cover then reattach the seven Torx screws.
Then repeat everything the other side.
Feel free to stay tuned for more modifications I have planned.
You can see what I have done so far, here: Yeti Customisation
If you want the double-sided foam tape it’s here on Amazon
Torx screwdriver set also available on Amazon (you’ll need it for many jobs on your Yeti).
And I am always interested to hear about your Yeti, customised or not.
