Skoda Octavia 1960August 21, 2018
I had to go to my local Skoda dealer to order a single DIN cage because my infotainment system had arrived and I really wanted to get it into my Yeti; this was the final thing I needed to buy.
If you’re interested, you can see what stereo system I fitted, here: Yeti Infotainment.
Anyway, while waiting for someone to serve me I spotted this beauty in the corner and minding its own business.
I wandered over and whipped out my mobile.
Yep. It’s a 1960 Skoda Octavia
I didn’t even know the Octavia was this ancient. But it is.
Skoda produced this car from 1959 to 1971. Then it stopped producing them and there were no more Octavias.
Skoda resurrected the name and banged a few out. The newer design, obviously. Not much interest from buyers.
Then, in 2000, Skoda became part of VAG and the game changed
The Skoda Octavia of today is a quality, award winning vehicle.
But isn’t this old lady just grand?
If I spot an interesting machine somewhere I get out my mobile phone and take a few photos.
Then I feature it here in ‘Spotted‘.
And I am always keen to hear about your interesting car, motorbike or scooter.
