Decorative Sill Covers26th January 2019
These sill covers will probably not be to everyone’s taste and that’s okay.
For me though, they’re essential in finishing the rugged off-road look that I’m going for with my Yeti.
Skoda kindly fitted silver off-road trim to the front and rear as standard
The lower front…
The lower rear…
But on the sills… nothing.
To me, this pair of sill covers will finish off the design perfectly
Of course, I could be wrong because I haven’t fitted them yet. 🙏
Let’s do that now.
I ordered them online and they arrived fast.
I’m also going to need cleaning spirit, double-sided foam tape and my trusty Torx screwdriver set.
It is here on Amazon if you want it.
The compact tools set that I keep in my Yeti (includes Torx screwdrivers).
I use the cleaning spirit to lightly wipe over the sills.
There are seven Torx screws to undo 🧐
Okay then wizard. Good thing that I keep a can of it in the boot.
All seven Torx screws are out and put up no fight.
Okay! Good idea. Thanks!
Looks like good times. 🙂
So let’s put a strip of double-sided foam tape on the outer edge of the sill cover and then reattach the seven Torx screws.
And repeat everything on the other side.
Feel free to stay tuned for more modifications I have planned.
You can see what I have done so far, here: Yeti Customisation
And I am always interested to hear about your Yeti, whether customised or not.
If you want the double-sided foam tape it’s here on Amazon
Compact tool set which includes Torx screwdrivers also available on Amazon (you’ll need it for many jobs on your Yeti).
