Matching Foot Pedals
26th June 2020
If you are anything like me then having non matching foot pedals is irritating. Having non matching anything on my Yeti is irritating. Yeti owners will understand!
Skoda were insightful enough to at least match the clutch, brake and accelerator pedals; the footrest pedal… no, it’s different, it’s plastic.
Let’s correct that today.
A quick search and I find an exact match to my main three pedals. And a genuine left-hand drive VAG part, too (in the UK you will need the RHD version, obviously)…
I order and it arrives fast…
So it looks like I am going to have to remove the side skirt trim.
Starting with the bonnet release and it comes off easily…
Now a Torx screw and I can remove the side skirt trim…
The skirt trim must be removed so as to get at the second Torx screw…
With that second Torx out it’s an easy removal of the footrest…
Okay, wizard, I will. Thanks!
I use my Armor All which should protect as well as clean…
So now I need to remove the protective film from the new footrest…
I fit the new pedal, put everything back exactly as I removed it and…
BOOM!
I’ve got my matching foot pedals.
Good times. 😎
Listen carefully, you might just hear a little tune coming from my new pedal:
“We are family. I got all my sisters with me.”
Feel free to stay tuned for more modifications I have planned.
You can see what I have done so far, here: Yeti Customisation
And I am always interested to hear about your Yeti, whether customised or not.
