Skoda Emblem Dust Caps
20th July 2019
Of the many customisations I have carried out on my Yeti, fitting new dust caps hardly even feels like a customisation.
I didn’t even realise there are so many varieties
I trawled through the styles and thought harder than I should have done on which ones to settle on.
Amazon have many styles, so I sat with my cup of tea and ogled the lot. 🧐
I decided on these red caps with a tiny Allen locking nut incorporated. Not sure the in-built ‘security’ will deter the infamous dust cap gangs from nabbing them but I appreciate the efforts from the manufacturer.
They arrived fast.
Goodbye old faithful friend.
Thank you, wizard, but I’ve got that covered thanks to Sarah and Craig over at the Škoda Yeti Fans & Owners Fan Club Facebook group.
I paid the premium price and ordered a tube of Corrosion Block grease. Rave reviews across the internet. And I will use it for my motorbike‘s winter preparation and other useful jobs as they arise.
Good times. 🙂
Feel free to stay tuned for more modifications I have planned.
You can see what I have done so far, here: Yeti Customisation
And I am always interested to hear about your Yeti, whether customised or not.
Dust caps available here on Amazon
Skoda logo dust caps here on Amazon
Corrosion Block grease also on Amazon
Would you care to share and help me grow my site?

Looks great! I remember doing that many years ago to my first car (Mk2 fiesta), but being 18 and a bit daft I didn’t put the paste on… They seized and then I had a flat tyre… Typical! 🙂
Yeah, 18 year-olds can be so dumb, especially I was!
